A recent trip to new Mexico yielded a large batch of roasted Hatch green chillies that Jeremy was in charge of preparing for preservation. Two weeks later, he and Sophia sat down after a forty five minute bike ride (the highlight of her day) and scraped off the char and sliced and diced the chillies. Well Sophia contributed for half an hour, then it was her bedtime. Jeremy was at it for five hours! Poor dear. Luckily, they are not too hot, so he still has feeling in his fingers and will not be robbing any banks this week.
