First 100 degree day of the year

Fun in the sun!
Today was a beautiful day.  It was the first day this year that it reached 100 degrees, so Jeremy cut the grass for the first time this year (hey, it isn't getting any cooler until October.)  It was beginning to look like a jungle out back, but not as bad as it could have been!  After cutting the grass, he thought it would be fun to run through the sprinklers with Sophia, so he put on her bathing suit and some sun block and away they went.  She loved it, but, even with it being 100 degrees outside, she would get cold and want him to hold her or cuddle in the towel.  It was a lot of fun to watch and with a nice breeze, it was not unbearable outside (especially in the sprinklers!)

Then we went inside and Jeremy made lunch, then I tried to put Sophia down for a nap.  She fought it, as usual, though I could tell she was pretty tired. About three hours later, it got really quiet in the house.  I walked down the hall to check on her, and she had put herself down for a nap, on the hall carpet.  It was so cute!

So I guess it is okay for Sophia to sleep if it is HER idea, wonder where she gets that from?
I guess I should just be glad she is not sleeping ON the roller coaster, right Tia?
She covered herself up with a pillow case from the linen closet.
